In India, the OnePlus Nord CE 2, which was released in February of last year with Android 11 out of the box, is being upgraded to the newest Android 13-based OxygenOS 13. According to a statement on OnePlus' Community website, the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 upgrade for OnePlus Nord CE 2 handsets in India will initially be available to those who have participated in the company's Open Beta Program. The update includes new design themes and customization tools such as Aquamorphic Design theme colors, a home screen world clock widget, Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, and optimized widgets, fonts, and system icons.
According to OnePlus, the Android 13 upgrade for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 includes improved security and privacy, as well as an automated pixelation option for conversation screenshots. It also supports Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption for data stored on the device.
The most recent update also enhanced system performance, stability, battery life, and app experience, as well as upgraded to HyperBoost GPA 4.0 for gaming to cut power usage. It also has a new media playback control, improved Quick Settings, and features like the Sidebar Toolbox floating panel.
Users may manually check for updates by going to the phone's Settings app and installing them by choosing Software update > Install.
